Well guys, I hope you don’t mind me trying to make light of such a serious situation. My site is one hundred per cent safe and hopefully, in the next couple of days, McAfee will admit it has made an error and get rid of this stupid alert it has put up on it. I have spoken to so many other web site owners today who have been placed in the same awful position as I have. Some of them are not as lucky as I am, I have so many wonderful and loyal members that I will be able to get over this disaster, whereas others may end up having to close their sites down. If McAfee where a newspaper and had published this alert, we could sue them for slander. As it is, we are almost powerless to do anything about it. Please just keep your fingers crossed for me and the countless others involved that they resolve it sooner rather than later. Or else I will just have to go round there with Santa Spanker and give them an alternative Christmas message lol.

McAfee have been trashing the good reputation of many sites, including Sarah’s, whilst giving some of the most notorious file sharing sites such as Rapidshare clean bills of health despite many complaints by McAfee customer that such sites are riddled with trojans, keyboard loggers and malware posing as copies of well-known programs.
They have even banned parish church sites. This is getting beyond a joke and McAfee’s appeals procedure against an incorrect rating is farcical.
The Site Advisor software McAfee are peddling is absolutely worthless, in fact it is dangerous because it has excluded more good sites than it has the real danger sites. It cannot be trusted.
Maybe some enterprising lawyer in the US would like to consider a class-action defamation lawsuit against McAfee?
I certainly will not be renewing my subscriptions for my company PC’s with McAfee. If all those customers who dislike what Site advisor is doing to their favourite sites also refused to renew, and told McAfee why, then they may take notice.
